On Wednesday 22 February 2023, on the occasion of National Braille Day, Museo Galileo is proposing, at 4.00 p.m. “Galileo e Vespucci alla ricerca di nuovi mondi”, a theatrical visit in Italian for blind, partially sighted and general public with two great “travelers” of the past.
Galileo Galilei and Amerigo Vespucci, both makers of discoveries that marked turning points and forever changed the view of the known world, will confront each other, focusing on the parallelism between the new skies unveiled by the scientist and the new lands explored by the navigator. Between jokes and tales, visitors will experience the wonder of imagined scenarios that have became real.
The activity is carried out as part of the European project VAST, which is aimed at studying the transformation of moral values in space and time. In this context, at the end of the show, the audience will be involved in a discussion about the values that emerged from the dialogue between the two protagonists.
