Donations

Pursuant to Article 1 of the "Art bonus" law, we give publicity of the donations received:

€ 4.800,00. The money, received in December 2024, was destined to support the research activities of Museo Galileo.

€ 30.000,00. The money, received in March 2024, was destined to support the project “Interactive exhibits for the exhibition Celestial Splendours. The observation of the sky from Galileo to gravitational waves”.

€ 10.000,00. The money, received in September 2022, was destined to support the documentary film project Galileo (R)evolution. The Path of Science.

€ 192.000,00. The money, received in March 2019, was destined to support the exhibition activity of Museo Galileo (exhibition Water as Microscope of Nature. Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex Leicester, Florence, Uffizi Galleries, October 30, 2018–January 20, 2019).

€ 3.660,00. The money, received in December 2018, was destined to the restoration of the work Relazioni dei viaggi in Toscana by Targioni Tozzetti, 1768-1779 (12 voll.).

€ 550,00. The money, received in December 2018, was destined to the restoration of the volume Saggi di naturali esperienze all’Accademia del Cimento (Napoli, 1714).

The money, received in December 2015, was destined to the restoration of 43 hand-colored geographical maps (86 c.) belonging to the volume: Gerardi Mercatoris Atlas, sive Cosmographicae meditationes de fabrica mundi et fabricati figura / primum a Gerardo Mercatore inchoatae, deinde a Iudoco Hondio piae memoriae ad finem perductae; iam vero multis in locis emendatae, et de novo in lucem editae. Editio decima. Amsterodam : sumptibus & typis aeneis Henrici Hondij, an.D. 1628.
