The new thematic digital library Vincenzo Viviani allievo di Galileo represents an important research tool that aims to provide an innovative approach to the study of the scientist's intellectual biography by combining the reconstruction of his private library with further studies.

In the panoramic reading room overlooking the Arno River through books, archival documents and period photographs, we will discover the history of the Medici-Lorraine collection, from the Stanzino delle matematiche to the Royal Museum of Physics and Natural History, from the founding of the Museo Galileo to the 1966 flood and beyond.
