Galileo primo astronauta
Guided visit
Established by the Italian government in 2021, National Space Day aims to raise awareness and inform Italian citizens about the contributions brought to the improvement of the human condition by science and technology applied to Space.
For this year's edition, Museo Galileo is proposing a guided tour on 16 December at 3:30 p.m., focusing on Galileo Galilei's astronomical observations. By means of the telescope he made with his own hands, Galileo was able to look out into Space, get close to the Moon and understand that it is not a perfectly spherical body with a smooth and uniform surface, as was the common belief, but uneven, rough, with cavities and protrusions, just like the Earth.
The visit will be held in Italian.
Cost included in the museum's entrance fee.
