Paolo Brenni (1954-2021)
We deeply regret to announce the death of Paolo Brenni, a great expert in historical scientific instruments. Graduated in experimental physics at the Zurich Polytechnic School in 1984, Paolo began working in Italy for the University of Pavia. A researcher for CNR Florence (National Research Council), he collaborated on a continuous basis with the Fondazione Scienza e Tecnica (whose collection of scientific instruments he restored and rearranged) and with Museo Galileo, where he has been, among other things, one of the curators of the permanent exhibition (Rooms XII-XVI). Former President of the Scientific Instrument Commission and President-in-office for the Scientific Instrument Society, Paolo passed away at his home in Mendrisio (Switzerland) in the night between 3 and 4 December.
