On November 24, 2021, at 5:30 pm, the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino will host the meeting Scienza e Musica. Homage to Vincenzo Galilei, with the presentation of the unpublished videos produced by Museo Galileo, with the collaboration of the Music Conservatory L. Cherubini in Florence, as well as of the upcoming projects that will be carried out with Villa I Tatti - The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies.
The videos aim to discover and revaluate Galilei’s works and to create an unprecedented dialogue between Vincenzo’s music, the scientific instruments of his son Galileo, and the instruments of the Medici collection that are kept at the Museum entitled to Galileo.
The event, that will be held in Italian, will be introduced by Giovanni Vitali, Head of Office for Cultural Promotion, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
