The Museo Galileo, in collaboration with the Biblioteca di Scandicci, presents La scienza in biblioteca, a program aimed at disseminating history of science and scientific culture among young people. The initiative includes three meetings focused on Galileo and reserved for children over 8 years and their families.
They will be held at the Biblioteca di Scandicci, Via Roma 38/A.
Friday 10 January at 5.00 pm
Introducing Museo Galileo
A conversation with the library users, retracing some of the most important discoveries of science history, thanks to some replicas of scientific instruments.
Sunday 12 January at 16.30 pm
Meeting Galileo
Galileo himself will tell us about his own life and discoveries linking his studies with the development of modern sciences.
Friday 31 January at 17.00 pm
Oltre l'ottica: giocando tra specchi e lenti
Kids and teens will have the opportunity to discover the magic of light, using and experiencing different kinds of lenses and mirrors, together with fascinating ancient instruments such as the magic lantern or optical tricks such as the zootropium.

The meetings will be held at the Biblioteca di Scandicci (Via Roma 38/A) on Friday 10 January at 5.00 pm, on Sunday 12 January at 16.30 pm, on Friday 31 January at 5.00 pm
