An exclusive itinerary with guided tours (in Italian) to learn more about Galileo Galilei: first stop at Museo Galileo, house to his only two surviving telescopes, to the lens with which he observed Jupiter’s moons and to many other precious scientific instruments; afterwards, a visit to Villa Galileo on the hill of Arcetri, where the Tuscan scientist spent his last years, confined to house arrest by the condemnation of the Holy Office in 1633.
Both the guided visits and the transportation are free of charge and included in the entrance fee to the museums.
The tour is part of the initiatives within the Festa della Toscana 2019 Dal Rinascimento al Granducato, al cinquantennale della costituzione della Regione Toscana.
