On Friday, December 13, at 5.30 pm, the Gabinetto Scientifico Letterario G.P. Vieusseux (Sala Ferri) will host, in collaboration with Museo Galileo, the launch of the volume by Barbara Fanini devoted to the Trivulziano Codex.
Roberta Cella and Carlo Vecce will present the book, which is published by Franco Cesati Editore.
Pages and pages filled with thousands of words arranged in columns: this is how the papers of the Trivulziano Codex look like, one of the few Da Vinci notebooks preserved in Italy, precisely compiled while he was staying in Milan. After remaining mysterious for a long time, the lexical lists of the Trivulziano Codex offer today a surprising testimony of Leonardo's interest in the verbal code, caught in all its components: semantics, handwriting, sound.
The event will be held in Italian.
Free entrance.
