Within the Fibonacci Day initiative in Florence, the Museo Galileo organizes a special workshop activity proposed by Il Giardino di Archimede. Un Museo per la Matematica.
Counting boards are simple but effective calculation aids commonly used, in different forms, from Antiquity to Renaissance. Participants in the workshop will learn how to easily use the boards thanks fun practical exercises.
All children taking part in the workshop will be given as a present the new book by Enrico Giusti Leonardo scopre i numeri indiani, illustrated by Elena Triolo.
