The Museo Galileo library received the papers of Franco Graziosi (1923-2013) as a gift in October 2013. Graziosi is one of the Italian pioneers of 20th-century molecular biology.
A collaborator of Mario Ageno at the physics laboratory of the Higher Health Institute in Rome, he co-founded with Adriano Buzzati Traverso the International laboratory of genetics and biophysics in Naples, where he was the vice director and head of the research group in the biophysics of bacterial viruses.
The donation includes the whole archive (about 1.5 l.m., with documents from 1948 till 2012) and some publications. Although not yet analytically described, the materials are accessible to the public.
