The Museo Galileo, in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence, Assessorato all’Ambiente, launched a series of initiatives to celebrate the world of bikes and promote their use: on October 19, those who will ride their bike to the museum will get reduced entrance, if they show the key of their lock at the ticket office.
Within the permanent exhibition, visitors will have the chance to admire the beautiful bikes of Cycling through the Past: Stories of Men and Trades, conceived on the occasion of the recent World Cycling Championship.
Children visiting the museum will receive a special illustrated booklet (in Italian), containing curiosities, explanations and games on the world of bikes and, at the end of their visit, they will also be given a “Certificate of the perfect biker”.
In the afternoon, at 15, “La chimica di Pietro Leopoldo”, a new activity (in Italian) for families of the series “A tutta scienza!” will take place: those who will show the key of their lock will get reduced entrance, paying extra 2 euro per person for the educational activity.
