In June, July and September 2017, Villa Galileo (Il Gioiello) will open its doors to public thanks to the collaboration between Museo Galileo and Museo di Storia Naturale, and to the generous support of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze.
Villa Galileo will be open from 9 am to 1 pm
Every hour (from 9 to 12) visitors will be offered free guided visits, available without a reservation. Further interactive contents conceived and created by Museo Galileo’s Multimedia Laboratory enrich the tour: touch-screens with Galilean itineraries and Galilean main instruments, and a video illustrating the scientist’s life.
A free shuttle bus will connect (starting at 8.30) Museo Galileo to the house of the Tuscan scientist on the hill of Arcetri, with an intermediate stop at Villa Bardini.
Admission ticket to Villa Galileo is required. Tickets can be purchased directly on the spot (6,00 Euro full fee – 3,00 Euro reduced fee).
From June 15th to July 15th and from September 2nd to 16th, from 8.30am, the shuttle bus service is also available on Thursday morning, limited to the itinerary Museo Galileo-Villa Bardini.
