This exhibition is one of the events organised to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the Italian Botanical Society, which was founded in Florence in 1888. The show highlights the importance of botanical drawings not only as artworks but above all as an indispensable aid to the scientific study of plants. Twenty-one pictures made between the 1950s and 1980s by artists born or living in Italy are on display.
