Images of the Sky from Dante to Galileo

An outcome of the collaboration between Museo Galileo, Politecnico di Torino and Cooperativa Buonconte, this exhibition aims at showing the ideas of the Universe of Dante Alighieri and Galileo Galilei. On display are ancient books from the Poppi Castle’s library—including the first Latin translation of Galilei’s Dialogue and precious editions of Dante’s Comedy—as well as replicas of 17^th-century scientific instruments used by Museo Galileo’s staff to perform educational activities.
