The exhibition “Leonardo and His Books: The Library of the Universal Genius” (Florence, Galileo Museum, June 6 – September 22, 2019) will feature full public access to the library in digital form. Using the Sinapsi application, viewers will have a very flexible tool for exploring the digital collection of Leonardo’s Library with a wide variety research modalities. The platform is currently accessible in beta, and will be completed by October 3, 2019.
We would be very grateful for comments and suggestions from users and scholars about improvements we can make to this new resource.
The digital library is a project of the Galileo Museum and the National Central Library of Florence, and has been developed in the framework of the research project FISR, “Science, History, Society in Italy. From Leonardo to Galileo to the “Houses” of Innovation”, initiated and financed by the Ministry of Education, Universities, and Research.
