On 5 June 2024, Andrea Gori, head of educational activities, will present the Museo Galileo's collections and educational activities to the students and teachers of the IC Vincenzo Mennella on the island of Ischia. Some copies of scientific instruments will be shown and explained, in particular Galileo's telescope that revealed to the great scientist a new universe.
The suitcase as a symbol of travel, but also of communication and exchange; in the suitcase we put all those things that are indispensable and represent our identity; on the way back it will be filled with the experiences and ideas of the young people we met. The aim is to spread scientific culture among school students who have not had the opportunity to visit the museum, bringing them closer to the history of science in a fun way.
